Based in San Jose, California, the Over the Hill Blues Band is a high-energy blues cover band. From traditional to contemporary blues, these guys keep the crowds moving and shaking.

They cover great blues artists like Robert Johnson, Jimmy Rogers, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Howling Wolf, Eric Clapton and B.B. King. They also cover tunes by great classic bands like The Allman Brothers Band, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Cream and Led Zeppelin, as well as new bands like Trampled Under Foot, The Mannish Boys and Mississippi Heat.

The Over the Hill Blues Band swings traditional blues and jazz classics in their unique, soulful style. They are the real deal — the band takes real blues tunes and plays them like “Nobody’s Business!” The guys combine vocals with guitar tones, backed by harmonica, Hammond B3 and piano sounds, with a swinging drum beat and driving bass.

 

The members of the band came together in 2005 after many years of friendship. They’ve raised their children and established fulfilling Silicon Valley careers — now they have some free time to indulge their music obsession. The guys are serious about the blues and love jamming together.
